There's a lot that's over ripe. The crunchy one is not as sweet as the over ripe. I shared half to my son but still to much for 1 person to finish the remaining half. So I wasted a lot. Next time I'll just stick with megdool the brown one. I can freeze it and I have a whole year supply. Thank you!

We have enjoyed eating the Khalsa Bahri dates off the vine they came on. This morning we made date nut bread and it was delicious. Used a recipe on the King Arthur Baking site and substituted dark rum for the vodka.
We are freezing some for cooking in the future.

These are so damn good. Came all the way to Upstate Newyork in excellent condition. It's hard to stop eating them! I ordered 10 pounds. Most I'm letting to soften up but im enjoying some while they're still crunchy.
