I have bought bulk packs a few times and this one is the worst I've gotten. The skin on the dates are so dried out and tight. Feels like you are eating beef jerky. Definitely don't seem fresh or they have been missed handled. Disappointed.

Ordered the 5pound box of soft medjool dates, not very soft and had some tough chewy ones. Seemed a little dry or overripe. I will probably order again after these are gone and see if they are softer. Maybe it’s just that this time of year is that way.

This was the second time in many years/orders I was dissatisfied with the soft rhutab medjool dates. Upon receipt, I sorted them into freezer quart bags., All were very hard and there was very little "meat" to the date., As well, it seemed they were shrunken and had lateral wrinkles close together. Not what I would like to have received.

First, it took a while to learn fresh dates are superior to chocolate for that treat. Second, fresh can be difficult to find. Stores might have reasonably fresh dates, but the odds are they are not really fresh. But when you find fresh the flavor is better. So why not order a fresh box from a grower and freeze portions for later. Very happy with my purchase.
